The Great Outdoors features three living areas, saw cut oak floors and granite countertops throughout, fine leather furnishings, luxury bedding and flat screen TV / DVD players in each living area and all bedrooms. The open living – dining – kitchen area is surrounded by pine walls with dark rough cedar trim, cathedral ceilings with cedar beams, and features a two-story stacked rock gas fireplace. A very cool whiskey barrel, rolled ceiling hallway leads to an oversized downstairs game room, with a pool table and foosball table for hours of family bonding time. The game room also offers sleeping space for 6, with a half-bath, a queen sofa bed, and two captain’s beds with trundles (4 twins).
There are five bedrooms – three downstairs and two upstairs – each with a private bath and a king bed. The two upstairs bedrooms also offer an extra twin captain’s bed with a trundle.
The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with all you will need to prepare meals and serve your group of up to 20 people, and seating for indoor or outdoor dining. The kitchen, and all the bathrooms, are accented with granite, rough sawn cabinets and copper sinks.
A large covered deck across the entire back side of the cabin is a secluded outdoor living space where you can relax on comfortable furnishings, grill your day’s catch for dinner, then soak in the bubbly hot tub and enjoy the scenery. The campfire pit with seating will be great for roasting s’mores by the campfire, so brush up on your tall tales of Bigfoot, and your ghost stories. The circle drive will make it easy for those with boat or ATV trailers.
With advanced notice, you can place your order for the kitchen to be stocked with all your favorite grocery items and fresh flowers. Beavers Bend Adventures will also schedule an in-cabin masseuse, if requested.
You will be in awe of your new luxury vacation lake home that really lives up to its name – The Great Outdoors!

“Our cabin was The Great Outdoors. We simply were very surprised when we drove up. It was exactly like the pictures on the internet. And the indoors was absolutely beautiful. It was clean, and the process to rent and enter this property was extremely easy and streamlined. We felt safe and comfortable. The bed linens were crisp and clean. We thank the homeowners for sharing – it was worth the trip from Texas!!! – Stephanie Reynolds”

“We had an amazing time at The Great Outdoors cabin! It was so comfortable, with all the amenities you could think of. The decor was inspiring. The 3,000 sq. ft. wrap-around porch was big enough to jog around when it rained. It’s close to all the activities around Beavers Bend. You couldn’t ask for a better place to stay!! We definitely will be returning guests at this cabin. – Judy”
“I can’t put it in words how amazing our trip was – words won’t do justice. We were a party of 26, in 2 cabins, Great Outdoors and Wheel House – across each other. They were beautiful cabins, quiet and peaceful, serene, just what we were all looking for to spend for our downtime! Everything was provided – the kitchen was fully equipped, the beds / linens were so comfortable. Seating in the living rooms and dining were more than enough! The 8-burner gas grill, gas fire pit and playground was a plus. 2 nights were not enough. I am already looking to revisit at the end of this year with a different group of people and with a longer stay, hopefully!!Thank you so very much!! – Zehra Asif”
“We were in The Great Outdoors for Thanksgiving 2019 with our kids & grandkids. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the cabin, the well-stocked kitchen, and the comfortable beds. We especially loved the hot tub and fire pit on the back porch! We brought board games & card games, and played many of them. We enjoyed the pool & foosball tables. Most of all – we made warm & lasting memories with our families. Please share our heartfelt thanks with the owners. We want to rent this cabin again in the future. – Warm Holiday Wishes, Allen and Karen Van Zandt”
