Inside you will find the relaxing atmosphere of an open floor plan/living room and kitchen. The open style comfort furnishings in the living area include cathedral ceiling and a rocked wood burning fireplace. The focal point of the living area is the 8 ft. wall to wall windows that feature an amazing view of the surrounding native oak and pine trees forest. Sitting inside the cabin is just like sitting outside the cabin – both offer the same perfect view.
The 1st floor Master Queen Suite features a private patio that can boast a relaxing escape before a busy day. Climb the stairs to 2 additional bedrooms: The King Master bedroom is warm and inviting with French doors entering the bedroom and a 2nd set of French doors going to the private outside balcony. The 3rd bedroom is a bunk room featuring 4 twins and a private full bath with double vanities.
Climb the stairs again to the LOOK OUT TOWER! The kids will love the privacy of the tower which also features 2 twin beds and a TV for DVD movies only. It’s a very small space but provides a nice view of the forest.
There are 2 old logging roads on the property that make exploring fun. The 2 acres of private land make it very inviting for nature walks. (Bring your Deep Woods insect repellent!)
The back deck offers plenty of patio seating and dining options for meals outdoors while enjoying the sounds and beauty of the forest.
No matter what the occasion, whether it is a relaxing weekend getaway or a busy family reunion, Look Out Lodge is equipped to do it all, and will not let you down. Once you depart, don’t be surprised when you find yourself looking in the rear view mirror planning your next vacation to this “private little hideaway” before you even get out of the driveway.

Testimonials
We hiked Friendship Trail, Red River Museum, Train Ride, Ziplining, and enjoyed the Visitor Center. The campfire, cooking, playing games, hot tub, and porch sitting was also a good time. The cabin was peaceful, we loved the hike, cool weather, and the atmosphere. It was great for quality family time.
