Heaven on the River is luxury seclusion at its finest! You will enjoy magnificent tree top views of the water from this cabin, which is walking distance to the kayaks to float, swim and fish the upper Mt. Fork River. Your family will have 18 acres of pristine, private land to explore nature in the beautiful pine forest, ride your 4-wheelers, or hike around the wildlife preserve on the adjacent property. This cabin property is on a bluff, tucked in between National Forest land and the Mountain Fork River. River access is a short 5-minute walk back up the driveway to a nook where the kayaks are located, along with easy river access. Free kayaks, paddles and life jackets are provided – save money by not having to rent. Direct river access behind the cabin is steep, and only advised for advanced hikers.

Heaven on the River is located 25 miles north of the hustle and bustle of Hochatown – the epitome of quiet seclusion – on the upper Mt. Fork River. The open floor plan in the great room – dining room – kitchen provides a fantastic area for relaxing and enjoying the views through a 2-story wall of windows facing the river. You can sink into plush furnishings in front of fireplace, with gas logs to enjoy the atmosphere of a fire with the simple flip of a switch.
The loft game room offers a pool and air hockey game table, satellite TV, and bunk beds, which makes a great kids’ entertainment area.
This 1,800 square foot modern rustic getaway has forest and river views from every room. The designer decor features a natural rock shower, rock and wood accents, deer antler chandeliers, ceiling fans and granite countertops throughout the cabin.
Sleeping arrangements include 1 king bedroom, 1 queen bedroom, a twin-over-full size bunk bed in the 3rd bedroom, and another twin-over-full size bunk bed in the loft game room. Additional sleeping, best suited for children, are 1 full size futon and 1 twin pull-out .
The fully-stocked kitchen offers everything you will need to prepare meals, with your choice of indoor or outdoor dining with a view. A gas grill, propane provided, is on the covered back deck. Just beyond the deck is a hot tub cabana, where you can enjoy your coffee in the mornings, or wine in the evenings from the bubbly hot tub. Two kayaks, paddles and life jackets are provided (no extra charge) for family fun on the river. Please call ahead for instructions if you want to utilize the kayaks.
The tranquil water sounds of the river will be enjoyed while relaxing and taking in the view from the back deck of Heaven on the River. This section of the river is one of the most beautiful spots on the Mt. Fork River. There is even a small island in the river. You will be relaxed and happy when you discover this jewell of a luxury cabin in the Kiamichi Mountains. We predict you will return every year – possibly every season – to Heaven on the River.
